Fördomsfönster Öresund gains international publicity!

In the beginning of September Kate Plaskonis from our lead partner Mine presented Fördomsfönster Öresund at the 7th International Conference on Sustainable Development in Rome, Italy.

The conference was organized by the European Center of Sustainable Development in collaboration with CIT University. The aim of the conference was to spread knowledge and inspiration on how to deal with the critical challenge of human, environmental, and economic sustainability concerning the present and future generations in a global-scale context.

Kates paper is called “Shaping the Common Labor Market between Denmark and Sweden: Lessons for Sustainable Development”. In it she presents both the background for our project, the increasingly dysfunctional integration between the Danish and Swedish labor markets in the Öresund region, as well as the means and goals of our project; the way in which we aim both to give new perspectives on the problems but also to actively facilitate the experimentation of possible solutions.

We are happy to see that the interest in and knowledge about the necessary connection between diversity and sustainability is increasing in the world of academia and governmental organizations, now lets work together to make this connection into common sense on the labor market as well!
